Data controller

House Six is operated by CAVIA MEDIA, a French simplified joint-stock company (SAS). CAVIA MEDIA is the controller of personal data processed for these services.

Contact: general@housesix.fr. The legal representative and company information are listed in our legal notice / Impressum.

What data we collect

When you submit a track via our form, we collect:
  • Your email address
  • Your artist name
  • A link to your track or an uploaded audio file
If you proceed with a premiere, we also collect track metadata (title, artwork, social links, buy links) and payment information processed securely by Stripe or PayPal.

How we use your data

  • To listen to your track and respond to your request
  • To manage your premiere (scheduling, publishing)
  • To send you emails about your submission status
We do not sell your data. Our service providers process it only to deliver the services described below.

Legal bases and recipients

Premiere and PR enquiries are processed to respond to your request and prepare or perform the service. Newsletter subscriptions rely on your consent. Website security and internal click statistics rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the service and measuring publication results. Accounting records are kept to comply with legal obligations.

Access is limited to authorised CAVIA MEDIA personnel and the providers needed for the relevant service: Hetzner for hosting, Stripe or PayPal for payments, Brevo for newsletters, and Google for communications and PR enquiry follow-up. Content intended for publication is sent to the selected distribution platforms, including SoundCloud and YouTube.

Newsletters and PR requests

Music selection and DJ & media promos are separate subscriptions. Emails are in English. Brevo manages the email address, profile and styles you provide, double opt-in, preferences and unsubscribe requests. Subscriptions rely on your consent and every email includes an unsubscribe link. Historical contacts and PR enquiries are never subscribed automatically. Individual open and click tracking is disabled by default.

Sign-up forms are hosted by Brevo and embedded on the newsletter page. See its privacy policy. Subscription data is retained until you unsubscribe; Brevo may keep information needed to honour your unsubscribe request and document consent.

To respond to a PR enquiry and prepare a potential service, House Six stores your name, email, label, music link, goals and optional date and budget. Mathieu and Louis can access these details for follow-up in a private Google Sheet. They do not subscribe you to a mailing list. You can request deletion by email; inactive enquiries are reviewed no later than three years after the last exchange.

Shared publication reports contain aggregate statistics and public release information. Anyone with the private link can access them until revocation. Estimated visitors are expressed as visitor-days, without identifying individuals.

File storage

Audio files are stored with our hosting provider. For published premieres, audio is normally cleaned up after 7 days; public artwork and metadata remain available in the catalogue. Files for unpaid, abandoned submissions are deleted after 60 days of inactivity. Certain failed publications or rights blocks have a 30-day retention period. Deleting audio files does not delete communications, proof of rights or accounting records, which are retained according to their purpose and applicable obligations.

Statistics, embedded players and external links

We do not use a third-party audience analytics service or analytics cookies for our internal statistics. Clicks on our buy links are counted on our server, together with their source and an identifier derived from the IP address, browser and day. The raw IP address is not retained in these statistics; results are presented in aggregate form.

Loading a SoundCloud, YouTube or Spotify player, a Brevo form, or opening an external site sends connection information to that provider. Its own privacy policy applies and it may use cookies. When an affiliate link is used, the affiliate network and merchant may process information needed to attribute a purchase. Please refer to their privacy information and controls on the relevant services.

Your rights

Subject to the GDPR’s conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion or portability of your data, restrict its processing, or object to processing. You may withdraw newsletter consent at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some records must be kept to meet legal obligations or defend legal claims. Send your request to general@housesix.fr. You may also complain to the French data protection authority, the CNIL, or your local supervisory authority.
