Acid House Party
Year on year Oslo based party starting outfit Det Gode Selskab provide us with a jam packed sampler featuring artists from their collective, family and affiliates of the label, but also welcome a flurry of new artists on board each time. Split into 4 parts spread across the next few months the sampler kicks off with a heavyweight package curated by Jack himself. Heading up part one is Lazy Pete, label regular Henriku, Rex Ronny, Alm, a return for Philip Hinz, alongside Herman Crantz, and last but not least, Koloniari. The beautiful, deep, house-energy in Lazy Pete's opening track "She's A Replicant (Underground Mix)" sets the stage, before you are hit with the huge drums and peak time action of Henriku's "To The Mountains". Conga time with pulsating bass action. Dreamy synths lead the way in the aptly named "Italo Cheese" from Rex Ronny. Hitting the nail on the head is also "Acid House Party '' by Alm, squelchy acid tones breathing life into the housey drum patterns. Let's Jack. Teasing further rave action is Philip Hanz & Herman Crantz with "Stay", a driven outing looking to lift the energy of the floor. Direct house music nostalgia in "Believe In Love", the offering from Koloniari, beautiful keys conversing with the slick motion of the track, classy vocal samples flashing in and out.
